Hether Florman

Hether has dedicated her entire career to doing hair and making people feel beautiful. She has been a stylist for almost 40 years and a salon owner since she was 19 years old. Hether founded this salon in 1999 and continues to own and operate the business. Hether hopes to create a comfortable, yet trendy environment where every type of client can leave happy. She not only shares her artistic gift with every client who sits in her chair, but she also shares her heart -- many of Hether’s clients throughout the years have become some of her closest friends.

Hether is passionate about keeping herself and her staff educated. Hether has traveled all over North America, Central America, and Europe attending hair shows and educational seminars to position herself at the top of her industry. She loves sharing her knowledge with new stylists and has a true passion for building up new stylists and leading them to success. Hether also believes it is her responsibility to create a new industry standard where stylists are consistently learning and growing. To create this legacy, Hether ensures there are monthly educational classes hosted at the salon by top brands like Oribe,Goldwell, Blue and R&Co. She also invests in her top stylists by taking them to leadership conferences and sending them to hair shows to round out their continuing education. Hether is also a certified educator and every new stylist in her salon goes through extensive training with her before they are allowed to take their own clients on the floor. Hether loves that she gets to share her love of hair with her daughter Caleigh, who is also now a stylist at the salon.

On top of hair education and technique, Hether strives to create a customer-centric environment in her salon. Hether believes that the clients that make up her salon community are the lifeblood of her business. For this reason, customer service is a vital component of Salon Hether’s success and Hether herself takes note to make sure everyone who enters the door of her little corner of Olde Town Arvada leaves feeling satisfied with their experience.

When Hether is not busy at the salon she enjoys spending time with her wonderful family. She has a beautiful, big group of people she loves to shower with love. She has five adult children, and two special grandbabies. Most notably, Hether found the love of her life in her second marriage to Jim -- he is her best friend, life partner, business partner and everything in between.

Jim Florman

Jim, while not a stylist or a face you will often see in the salon, plays a vital role on the Salon Hether’s team. He is most known to clients as Hether’s husband, the love of her life, life partner, and best friend. To the salon family he is the resident salon “dad” and he does a good majority of backend business operations.

Jim has 30+ years of business ownership experience focused primarily in the automotive world. Along with ownership experience, Jim has championed the corporate automotive software sales and consultancy world for the last several years. In business, he is passionate about coaching others to their full potential, seeing business revenue growth, and maximizing back-end operational efficiency.

Outside of work Jim loves his family and friends most. He not only is a salon dad, but a real dad and his kids enjoy his continual love and support in their adult lives. Jim also loves sports (Go Broncos, Avs, and Rockies!) as well as outdoorsman activities like fishing. Jim moved back to Colorado after 20+ years of living in Montana upon reconnecting with Hether – who changed his life forever. He loves doing life with his adventure partner, best friend, and forever love, Hether.

Sheri Bilstein

Sheri is an integral part of Salon Hether’s success and has been the salon’s number one supporter since day one. Sheri is Hether’s mom and she was previously involved in ownership as well as running a gift shop that once served the front half of our building.

Sheri is one of the kindest, strongest women you will ever meet and she has always believed in not only Hether’s success but the success of every employee that has been a part of our team. Without Sheri we would not be here today so she deserves a shout-out and some recognition.

In her free time Sheri loves spending time with her wonderful Biff and their dog Mulligan. They love to travel together and spend a lot of time in Belize. Sheri is also known as her family matriarch. She hosts family dinners often and could have been a chef in another life.

Ashley Iwane

Ashley came to Colorado from Nebraska and began her career in 2005 when she attended the Hair Dynamics Education Center in Fort Collins, CO. She is a Master Stylist and one of Salon Hether’s most tenured team members!

She does both haircuts and color but her favorite part of hairdressing is giving a precise haircut. She says that there is nothing better than the instant gratification of a beautiful finished product! She is Pivot Point Trained, a Goldwell Ambassador, and a Goldwell Trendsetter. Notably, she attended Goldwell Academy in Toronto, participated in the Oribe Atelier and was an assistant in the R+Co tailgate party show. Ashley is also a lead stylist in our salon and participates in the High Performance Salon Academy (HPSA) leadership program.

In her free time shopping, trying new restaurants, traveling, and spending quality time with her family and friends. Being an Aunt is her absolute favorite and she treats her nieces to fun events all the time. She is obsessed with her sweet dog Rocksy and loves to do anything and everything with her husband.

Leni Brass

Leni is one of our most experienced stylists and one of the kindest people you will ever meet. She began her hair career in 2005 and is a Master level stylist.

Len’s favorite part of being a stylist is building interpersonal relationships. She thrives on building a connection with every guest that sits in her chair. As far as hair goes, Leni’s favorite services are cutting and styling with her clients. Teaching a guest how to achieve a salon-quality style at home is part of her expertise.

Leni has attended many hair shows and classes in places like New York with high-end salon product educators such as those from Oribe and R+Co. She participated in the Hanzo education program and is involved with education via High Performance Salon Academy (HSPA). She is a lead stylist in the salon so she serves as a resource to all of our growing team members often.

Jamie Dowling

Jamie is a hair pro and has been doing hair since 2010. She is a Master stylist and can fulfill all of your hair needs.

Jamie’s favorite part of being a stylist and working in a salon environment is learning from everyone around her and working as a salon team. You can often find Jamie hopping in to help another stylist when someone needs advice or is feeling a little time-crunched. Her favorite service to provide is a balayage, so come to her for all of your sun-kissed needs. She is a balayage and blonde specialist and took 2nd in the Trendivision competition in 2014.

Jamie’s daughter Edison is her world (peep her station for adorable photos when you visit us). She also loves true crime podcasts and documentaries and spending time with her family and fur babies.

Ashton Gosage

Ashton is a Stylist and has been in the industry since 2019. Her favorite part of doing hair is giving her clients a sense of confidence. She says there is nothing like seeing a happy client leave after getting a fresh cut and/or color service.

Ashton loves doing color the most. She enjoys all kinds from highlights, to high fashion colors and everything in between. She notes that color allows her to use her knowledge and creativity at once. She attends the salon education classes from a variety of brands including Oribe and Goldwell. Her journey to become a stylist started with passion and was fueled by a love of helping people feel beautiful

Outside of the salon you can find Ashton reading, playing with every dog she passes by, or dreaming of that wonderful Autumn season we all adore. She is passionate about mental health and living life to the fullest

Chelsea Weber

Chelsea is a Stylist and she has been doing hair since 2021. Her favorite part of being a stylist is getting to know her clients. She also loves learning new ways to do things – she is a true lifelong learner.

Thus far, Chelsea loves doing balayages and highlights the most. Catch her giving her clients that dimensional glow. Chelsea has actually been with Salon Hether’s since 2017. She started at the front desk and always had an interest in hair and fashion. All of her co-workers encouraged her to go to cosmetology school, so she did! She loves her job and is so glad she chose this industry.

Chelsea loves to spend time with her friends and family. She also has a true passion for music and singing so you can often find her at concerts. Chelsea equally loves travel and is hoping to boost those passport stamps in the next few years.

Lisa McClurg

Lisa is our Front Desk Sales Lead. She runs all of our front desk operations and does various other things to assist in our salon well-being such as inventory management. Basically we wouldn’t be a well-oiled machine without Lisa.

Lisa loves customer service and spent her career prior to Salon Hether’s working in customer experience in various industries. She loves the salon environment and her favorite product in the salon is Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray.

Lisa is a true family person and has been married to her husband for over 30 years! She has four kids and a cat and has been an Arvada resident since the age of four.

Rachael Shaw

Rachael is currently a receptionist at Salon Hether's. She is currently working on getting her cosmetology license. For cosmetology school, she went to Paul Mitchell!

Alyssa Florman

Alyssa helps out with our back-end operations. Alyssa is one of Jim and Hether’s four kids and loves contributing to the family business. Alyssa helps us write blog posts, she drafts business documents, and hops in on any projects she can. 

Alyssa has a J.D. from the University of Denver and after law school decided practicing law wasn’t for her. She then jumped into the software/tech industry where she now manages a Customer Success program for an AI Software company.

Alyssa’s favorite part of working with the salon is supporting her family. She also loves that she gets to be creative here and gets to spend time with a lovely group of women. In her free time, Alyssa spends a lot of time with her fiancé RJ and their dog Tilly. In the summer you can catch them on their boat, enjoying the sunshine. Alyssa also loves to travel, stay active, and cook/bake
